Buying food from the local grocery stores, Bodega Aurrera and Soriana

Wherever we are from we grow up eating food that tastes a certain way and we expect it always to taste the same. I lived in Germany for four years and Viet Nam for four years and loved the food in Germany and not too happy with the food in Viet Nam. Everyone is different and likes different things and what may taste good to one person may taste horrible to another person and of course there are some people who don't like anything even though they have never tasted it. I like food from the United States because that is where I was born and that is what I am used to. When my wife and I moved to Mexico we had to adjust to the food, it taste different to us, it was a lot of trial and lots of error to figure out what we could live with, what we could live without, what was good and what was bad. If you eat any food long enough you can acquire a taste for it but this blog is for people who want to move to Mexico and are not familiar with the food you buy at Bodega Aurrera or Soriana here in Mexico.
